Red & The Red Hots

Red and the Red Hots is one of the hottest bands on the swing scene today. Led by the multi-talented musical director/composer/arranger/keyboardist/vocalist and founder Red Young. At its inception the group presented 1940’s music with a flair, and over the years Red has expanded the format to include a wide range of intricate and unique musical and vocal arrangements. Since the Red Hots inception in 1984 during the “What’s New” tour with Linda Ronstadt and Nelson Riddle, he has performed more than 1,400 engagements throughout the United States presenting performances ranging from Symphony Pops concerts to Charity Balls, Opera Benefits to exclusive political and social parties, nightclubs to country clubs, dance clubs to weddings, polo clubs to private homes. Red Hots leader Red Young has lent his expertise and hones his talent while working with artists such as Linda Ronstadt and Nelson Riddle, Dolly Parton, Cher, Juice Newton, Eric Burdon and Joan Armatrading. He has performed in places such as Avery Fisher Hall in New York, the Hollywood Bowl, the Riviera and Hilton Hotels in Las Vegas, Resorts International in Atlantic City, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Vienna Opera House, Symphony Hall in Berlin and Wembly Arena in London. Their extensive repertoire of original arrangements of standards, original compositions and improvisational music in a variety of danceable rhythms, make this group truly a dancer and listeners delight.
