Flattop Tom & His Jump Cats

Since 1992, Flattop Tom & His Jump Cats have been playing the Los Angeles club scene and are known for their big band “room full of blues” sound that keeps crowds dancing all night. Tom Hall aka Flattop Tom developed his own unique style, playing his harmonica right along with the horn arrangements. In fact, his playing earned him an official sponsorship from Hohner Harmonicas. An accomplished swing dancer appearing in the movie “Shout” with John Travolta and “Swingers” filmed at The Derby in Los Angeles, Flattop Tom thrills his audiences when he comes off stage to join them on the dance floor where he performs his acrobatic jitterbug complete with lifts and areal stunts. “Their swinging up tempo blues were tightly played”…Mike Boehm – Los Angeles Times “This band has all the elements to hypnotize fans of west coast swing… pushes finger snapping to the limit.” Art Tipaldi – Blues Review Magazine “A pioneer of the hot modern jump swing sound” Michael Moss – Swing Time Magazine
